Those who have read my other posts undoubtedly have come to the conclusion that I'm a person that decidedly believes in God, even if some would choose to think of Him as a higher power, or the Force, or whatever. As I came back to this site after another long absence (I'm pleased to say I'm back in the United States after all) I see that very little has been done here since I left. I could practically feel the tumbleweeds fly past me. So I decided it was time for another controversial post that would again be mistaken for political correctness but in reality flies in the face of all the PC dogma that dominates global society these days.
I wanted to talk about the misconception that people have that there need be proof of a supreme being in order for them to believe in Him.
The first principle of understanding God is not to question his existence, but rather to question his character. The question has oft times been raised, why does the bad happen to the good? Why doesn't bad happen to the bad? How could god let tragedies occur? Why doesn't he just make things go the way they should, make everybody happy and successful? Why would he scourge the earth and leave homes broken and families desolate? Because of the perceived inability to answer these questions, many (a great too many) have come to the conclusion that He does not exist, and that we are left to ourselves to conquer or be conquered, and that every man (or woman, but henceforth I'll refer to both gender as simply 'man') prospers by his own strength; that every man progresses according to his own genius.
It's easy to see where this conclusion comes from-- it seems as though God has remained silent when the world needed Him most.
I've talked of righteousness, of goodness and of trust. And I've been scorned for taking upon me the title of Darth and taking the name Reignus. I've spoken of power, and what one must do to obtain it. Of how all power rests upon the razor's edge.
I've spoken of these things because I've learned the truths about God. Not all, for many questions remain unanswered and closed from me, but enough to learn to trust Him.
In learning of Him I learned His character, and the purpose of life. There is purpose, and though I've taken a name that denotes leadership the purpose of this life is not to gain power. Rather, to give power to that Being who already has power. To surrender our power to Him, our will and our allegiance to Him. Our lives, our all, were He to deem it necessary. But, as anyone can attest, the God who governs is not a God of coercion. He will not force a single sacrifice on our part. He will allow rain to fall, but it falls on the just and on the unjust.
That being said, he does demand our total and unquestioned obedience. But he won't take it. He won't make us obey. He'll persuade us, He'll challenge us. He'll weep with us when destruction follows our bad choices. But He won't take their consequences from us and He won't give us what we don't deserve.
On the other hand, he'll give us to the very limits of what we do deserve-- He'll stretch his influence as far as it possibly can to help us even if we don't deserve much. Ask any mother who truly cared for her children and family how she did it.. how she coped. Any of them that are honest with themselves will proclaim that they don't know how they coped, how they managed. To them, it's a mystery that they'll ascribe to God or Fate or the Force. And it's true. God has a hand in the righteous determined efforts of any individual.
Don't think for a moment that I'm talking about a God that you think you know. I'll share with you a secret, the greatest secret of all.
As man now is, God once was. As God now is, man may become! If the heavens were opened today you would see God as He is, in the form of a man, with flesh and bone, a body that is glorified and immortal. A man who is so righteous and perfect that all spirit and element bow to his will or are cast out of his presence. Our God is a god of perfection, of justice and truth. He's a god of mercy and benevolence. A god of peace. I know this to be true.
I have never seen God with my own eyes, but I know Him through the influence of his Holy Spirit. I've made promises with Him to serve him through service to others-- to be his hands and His witness at all times and in all things and in all places even until death. This I pledge because He is perfect, and were He not perfect, I would not trust Him nor pledge my allegiance to Him.
God, of himself, has no power. The secret of His power is simply trust. Everything He has organized, he has given the promise to that in His time, in accordance with its diligent performance of its creation, He will glorify it. So, the universe (or pleuraverse,) remains intact, because it trusts Him. The sun gives its light, the planets stay in orbit, the Earth supports its population because that is what He's commanded and they all seek to support His will. And all will be glorified in His time.
What of man? As I've said, we must pledge ourselves to God. If we do, we will be glorified. He can have power in our lives only what we allow him. But if our faith is only small, even then He can do great miracles in our behalf. Even the miracle of making us like Him in the end, if we'll let him. Why dwell on the mysterious, on the alchemy, on the Force when God offers true power--His power-- today?
God will fulfill his promises. He always has. If he hadn't, even once, fulfilled a promise then the very fabric of space and time would have split. Spirit and element would have had no reason to believe His promise for exaltation and all would have been thrown back into chaos. Trust Him. Believe Him and His promises. Seek the feelings of truth in your heart and don't be deceived by politically correct garbage that would proclaim all religions being equal. Only one can be true. The rest, though having much truth, cannot be equally true as the one true church of God even if they have devout and faithful and good people.
Please don't misunderstand-- God is a god of justice, but also of mercy. Those who never had a chance in this life to find the full truth will be given that chance in the hereafter. Otherwise God would be a respecter of persons and unjust. Every person must have the opportunity to choose for himself to accept or reject the truth of God when it is presented in its fullness to him.
I have taken the mantle of Sith because with the more power I have the greater capacity I have to to good. I also understand that the power I receive from God is dependent upon my faithful performance to His will and to the principles of righteousness. Power does corrupt, but it doesn't have to. Only when one seeks to take too much power to themselves, to exalt themselves rather than have God exalt them do they begin to abuse their power.
Service, gratitude, love and hope are building blocks to perfection. God loves us and serves us. He is not silent, but speaks and all we need is the faith to hear Him. Don't procure Him in evil places, for there you will not find Him. If you seek Him honestly, tell Him so. He knows your heart. He knows your struggles better than you, and because He is your Creator and Father He can help you be healed of your inner pain and darkness. He can give you power to accomplish your goals and triumph over all your foes-- after all, your foes would simply be His foes, the enemies of righteousness.
I do not debate, I proclaim. This is the truth. I know it. And if you open your heart, you too will know it. Happy hunting, my friends, my comrades and my brothers and sisters. Don't spend your money on that which has no worth nor labor for that which cannot satisfy. Learn who God is and seek to be like him. Your life will get harder, but it will also gain a meaning that you have hitherto never known!
