It's been years that i have been searching for my own path. I grew up as a Catholic yet I wasn't feeling at home. Something tells me that it just isn't right. When i have drifted away from the Catholic religion, I was lost. I've stumbled across different philosophies and religions like Buddhism, Hinduism, Atheism, Free-Thought even the Occult and Satanism. I've been through at least some of the religions both of the left and right hand path. One of those philosophies was Jediism. To be honest, at first, i thought it was a waste of time since it was just some foolishness. But i was judging a book by its cover. I wanted to explore this idea more and i found what i have been looking for. It's hard to explain that "thing" i've found because it was only something i felt. I felt like this was the right thing for me. Right now, as a follower of this philosophy for at least about 1 year, I can say that it was the will of the Force that I am here among you people!
This is just the basic idea on how i came to be a follower of the Force.

Welcome. I hope you like it here. Look around and see what you are interested in learning, talking about or teaching. Sounds like "You been there done that". Do you consider yourself Jedi or Sith? I know that you said Jedi but your avatar is clearly Sith so which is it? I am Sith.

I think that your story is similar to mine in some parts although I did not grow up as Catholic. The family was Baptist but even then my mother's belief was that you did not need to go to church dripping with finery to demonstrate that you had a faith in God and Jesus while in your regular life you didn't act on the preachings. So I never went to church (much to the consternation of the born-again Christian aunt) and never really gave religion or a philosophy much thought beyond the 'golden rule' until the day came across Benjamin Hoff's Tao of Pooh and actually read it and started looking at Taoism.
I can't say where I developed an interested in Wicca and Druidism, but I did and to a degree still practice them.
Revisiting Taoism brought me to Jediism, especially since I view both as philosophies and guiding principles rather than a belief in a deity or deities.
At any rate, Life is a journey and not a destination unless you wish it.
