This card usually shows an angelic figure. Sometimes the figure is female and represents all the gentle goddesses of old. Sometimes the figure is unisex, neither male nor female. This figure holds two vases or containers with water and is pouring one into the other. This symbolizes the gentle flow of the Force through all. This card is the rebirth after the death of the old order. The creative forces begin to flow again, and the rebuilding begins. The Wanless deck calls this one "Art," which says it better, I think. ("Temperance" always made me think of not drinking alcohol, and this card is not really about that.)
After old forms are dissolved, elements are recombined into a better and more functional whole. Balance is restored. In the Star Wars films, it would be the new republic and the new Jedi of Luke Skywalker. The Jedi were dissolved and then reborn, but this time in a more pure form. "He will bring balance to the Force," it was said of Anakin. This card is the fulfillment of that.
Can a Sith be temperate? Were the Sith only there for the purpose of the dissolution of the old order? In the Star Wars story, it would seem that the answer to this is "yes." It would seem that Sith are very talented at dissolving old forms that need to be dissolved. Perhaps this is their main calling; however, it is possible for a Sith to be balanced and to run something harmoniously. To do so, a Sith must be very good at balancing the Light and the Dark.
The word "temperance" fits in the sense that it means "to be moderate." It is the balance of all things (not too hot, not too cold; not too dry, not too wet; not too rich, not too poor; not too masculine, not too feminine). It is a successful union of opposites.
So what does this card mean in a reading? You are a visionary that can see the big picture. You are an artist that can combine the pigments just the right way. It may be telling you to find the middle way. Compromise. Bring your mixed emotions into peaceful co-existence. Try a do-over. Reconstitute something. Combine the elements of something.
Some examples: You have a fight with your mate. You have opposite views on something. If this card turns up in a reading in answer to that issue, it may be saying to try to reach common ground and meet in the middle. In congressional terms it may mean to cross the isle and make a bi-partisan bill. In martial arts it may mean to combine several systems into one, taking the best from each like Bruce Lee did. In economics it may mean to come up with a system that is half way between capitalism and communism.
A negative meaning would be to not see the whole picture, to overly compartmentalize, to see life through a straw. It could mean that the two opposing parties are very polarized. Or, perhaps things are combined but it is a muddy stagnant morass which lacks dynamism.
