Keynote: Hopefull journeys to new possibilities. New winds of changes blowing.
Whenever you cross the plains it is the symbol of new hopes and possibilities. The prairies represent expansiveness and new potentials. In the persian religion Mithras was known as Lord of the plains. In this example Mithras takes souls accross the plains to get to heavan. Here the plains are seen as the River Jorden is to others.
In the summer the plains are hot and dry. In the winter the plains are cold and wet. The plains and prairies teach us how to adapt to extream condidtions. They also teach us to balance in the face of opposistion. The plants have adapted to conserve water. Prairies and plains are simular to the desert in many ways as can be seen by the hot and dry aspects so there is some overlap.
The prairies and plains are places where there is alot of wind. The wind can be strong so plants have to bend and be flexible. The lesson here is, it is better to bend rather than break. Wind also brings fresh change and new hopes. Wind is air moveing not being stagnant so the promise of change and movement comes with prairies and plains. Wind is unseen but has great power so this totem in a dream means you will awaken great power with in you or you already have awakened great power with in you. Of course a look at the air element when dealing with plains and prairies would be benificial.
I hope with the addition of environments this gives a full picture of your animal totem.

My totem is thankfully to be found pretty much anywhere near where I live, and I think is found in a wide variety of climates. Crows are nifty like that. ~Alena

Alena, you are right crows are found most everywhere. I added environments because some animals do have specific climates that they live in. Others travel in many climates. That in itself is a message about your totem. I hope that you like the environments added with the totems. I did say when I am done with the environments that people can go back to more animals if that is what is desired. I wanted to fill out the totems thing and give a wholistic picture.

These are things to meditate on, especially when it comes to things such as dreams, meditations, and astral work. If you find yourself in one type of environment often it may mean something about you, your spiritual path, or how you're feeling. ~Alena

I was hopeing that people would want the whole picture. If everyone gets board then I will stop. As long as people enjoy and learn I will continue.
