This is taken from one of the books wrote by Franz Bardon, who was one of the Force strongest Humans who honestly ever lived.
He wrote a series of books mostly dealing with hermetic science which are guides to master the Force, some of them are to be treated with care.
"Animal magnetism is the most perfect element of life. It is the vital energy and the vital matter that forms the basis of all life on earth. This vital magnetism connets the earth with the zone which girdles the earth; this zone is often called the astral world of simply"the beyond'.
Vital magnetism also connects people to one another. A human being radiates an energy that is purely animal, and the power and purity of that energy are dependent upon the person's will, his characteristcs and his mental maturity. His health depends upon these three qualitites in turn.
This magnetism is especially strong in people who consciously train their spirits and souls, who possesss self-control and who understand how to master thier fates, thoughts and impulses of their will and consequently to perform extraordinary deeds.
Since animal magnetism is an objective force, it may be used for both positive and negative purposes. The saying As you sow, so shall you reap is an expression of karmic law and justice; therefore, the true magician pursues only positive goals. A trained mage can be very successful in healing people with vital magnetism, and therefore I have always had a great personal interest in this phenomenon."

In my studies I happen upon a work that discusses such magnetism from theory to uses. Needless to say it had a profound impact on my ideas of the force and using the force.

A true magician you say?

Depends karma is just cause and effect so you should measure your actions with possible reactions. A positive effect is anything which is successful in your aim.
