The Force is within without and througout all things at all times, this i know. It is the Force and as such we can never fully grasp it's full concept or even a tail feather so why do we need to catagorize it. It's seems to me that it is alike saying a bird has different parts and makes it easier to classify but it's still just a bird, i do not need to see the wings if i see the beak, or the head if i see the tail. I know it is a bird, so why try to simplify things. I oppologize if i am speaking out of turn on here but i like complication. It's like in Shinto, they don't need to see Kami to know they exist, they hear of stories and know they exist. MTFBWY

Well, my personal take on it is: the aspects such as Dark or Light are focusing lenses we use to look through in order to see the Force in a certain way...if that analogy makes sense.

If we break things down into their individual parts and lean how they work we will learn much more about the whole mechanism. If I were to have a heart attack I would prefer a phisician that has specialized knowledge with the heart to a general practitioner.

mmm
you know...
asking why we classify is a certain viewpoint but i spose backing up what was said about if we break down the force as an entirety and focus on different aspects it becomes easier for our minds to interpret.
so once we understand more than one section of the force we can begin to piece together the jigsaw puzzle and see the entire image.
yes we can identify a bird by a beak but its what is underneath the beak that makes up the bird.
i think i may sound like im rambling but i hope it helps..

I like the thought of looking deeper and deeper, breaking things down into their components until one gets to the smallest indivisible part. Bird-beak-living cell-molecule-atom-particle-string! What is a string? It is a vibrating strand of pure energy, that is, Force. In the final analysis, we are all made of the Force. You do not need to take that on faith. It is a fact. Once you break apart the atom, we cease to be matter at all.

as in classification you mean 'light and dark' i think its foolish not seperate or classafy them. they are two different veiws and such two very different ways of following a path. If you dont seperate them you could fall victim to going down the dark path when it is the light side you choose to follow and without classification there would be no difference to right and wrong, without knowing right and wrong how can we know ourselves. they way i see it(and in my experiences) its much eaiser to corrupt the good when they dont know themselves than to make a good person from an evil person if they know themselves better than you.
