This will be a discussion thread for most anyone, but gear the thought towards that of a Sith. (I.e. Can harmony be obtained when one follows the Dark Side?)
Harmony may be defined as tranquility and peace. Possibly serenity as well. But when does harmony become "true" harmony? Does it recquire some sort of "enlightenment" to experience?
Harmony, in my own eyes, is what makes you feel at peace. If you are at peace in the midst of battle (as all warriors should be), then you are in harmony with your surroundings, and the enemy. But does this not contradict Sith thought? If a Sith is supposed to have mallice towards all life, only a drive to destroy, then when a Sith obtains harmony with the universe, can he carry out such destruction, for the very idea of harmony would lead to a sort of self-mutilation on the part of the Sith.
If I am at peace with the enemy that I now fight, why do I fight?
Answer that question with your responses.

It is all the personal definition for everyone that determines their answer. I define harmony as tranquility which is basically balance so yes a sith can attain that. Harmony becomes TRUE harmony when that balance causes all conflict to stop which if it does then say goodbye to all because we need the balance of the conflicts to support the universe. Third, not all warriors need be at peace. For example I often spar with my friend with sticks so we don'tkill each other but still hurt them enough so that they learn. My friend is always at peace and lets just say that my red mist fury often overpowers any peace he has, I may not let up once hes down but at least hes down. Fourth, the sith dont have a mallica towards all life., granted some may but not all. At least thats not what it takes to be a sith. I don't like putting the Force into tones because its not about that but so it is simpler for you guys I am a shadow jedi that swings down the sith path. The sith is anyone who believes in the Force yet uses their power for themselves above others.

Interesting that the only one to respond was Jedi Trine, I'll give my answer when I'm online again, but I am, once more, short on time.

The answers is this: You should not fight. Fighting is wrong. Mind you, this does not mean that you should not defend yourself.
Fighting is a conscious effort by two or more people to prolong a confrontation or to seek it to its inevitable conclusion. This is wrong. If someone should attack you, you should simply defend yourself until either you can stop the fight or until the aggressor gives up.
You must not "teach the aggressor a lesson," as that is simply tapping into the emotional rage which could form. You must not block their escape if they wish to run.
In my experienc,e you should simply place them upon the ground and take a step back. If they wish to be placed upon the ground again, they will come towards you; if they have rethought their position, they will go away. At no point should you elevate or escalate the situation, and ay no point should you allow your emotions to take control.
