Hello, I am Empress Palpatine, wife of Emporer Palpatine. Where he goes, I go.....
Well, in this galaxy, I am from Florida where it is hot and sticky most of the time. I grew up Baptist, but later got into such things as runes and Tarot, as well as Freemasonry. I like to read all kinds of things. I like my religion like my pizza, with everything on it! So I am the sort of person who will talk Bible one minute, then Hinduism, Kabbalah, or some other belief system. I am the one who does the Sith Tarot series on this board.
Naturally, I like the concept of the Force and have a Sith perspective.

Welcome Empress! I am thrilled to have you on board here, and very much like you in regards to religion.
And I gotta say, there are days when I envy Florida. Numerous, even. I very much love Boston but man, the winters are wikkid awful.

In my day when I was young and lived in Hudson Massachuetts It would get cold in November and definatly be snowing by early to mid December. It would stay on the ground till end of March/ April. It could get as cold as -20 below freezing degrees Ferinhieght. To me global warming ruined winter. You never get to go sleding in todays climate. Florida, you can have it. It is the Afghanastan of the United States. Sand it gets everywhere!

Yeah, this winter has been the only one I've been able to tolerate in the past five years of living here! But people are freaking out over global warming as a result and I frankly can't blame them. ~Alena

I honestly prefer it at 50 and wish it'd stay that way, lol! ~Alena

Unfortunatly for you to get your way a constant 50 degrees up north is at the planet's expence. It is wiser to move to the tropics rather than bring the tropics or desert to you. The planet can not take it. The planet is a very large liveing thing with feelings too. It is sad that people are treating it so badly. Chopping down all the trees. The trees cry in pain when they are cut. Man does not hear their cries because they are to closed aurically and think themselves supperior to nature. I wish that nature would fight back.

Well, I don't want it *constant*--just the coldest it ever gets! I prefer the heat. I confess to being a tree hugger myself. I love trees and often feel that I can "feel" them. And they definitely have auras. ~Alena

Down here in Florida we actually ran the air conditioner for almost two weeks it was so unusually warm (even for here) at temps in the 80's with humidity!
Yeah, I feel tree aura, especially big fat trees.

Yeah, I feel tree aura, especially big fat trees. Trees are friendly. Before I got my home I specifically made a request to the gods to get me a place with trees. Sure enough, a couple of big oaks in my front yard, and by a natural body of water. Just what I need. I may work in the city but I'm NOT an urban gal by any stretch of the imagination. My grandmother is on the west coast of FL. I'll have to ask her how the weather is on her end. ~Alena
