I suppose... if thats your cup of tea. Though you already have people that recognize you for who you are.

I think recognition would be nice. People would know us for who we are. But do we know who we are? Jedi are different everywhere. Some are just into larping and dressing like the Lucasian Jedi and Sith. Some use real life examples and people to emulate, to be a Jedi, and those Jedi argue about that. Others only use the Star Wars movies and novels/comics as the only examples to be a Jedi. Others try to balance all of these things. For example the Jedi Church have rituals wearing robes along with the light sabers and the Jedi Sanctuary doesn't believe in rituals, ceremonies and Jedi councils. Other Jedi don't even want be part of a religion and only a path. I have no problems with the Jedi Church by the way, I am just using an example of how we are all different. In fact I was introduced to this greater Jedi movement by them and only ended up with the Jedi Sanctuary because of their stance against hierarchies. We are a pretty diverse People when it comes to the way we practice the ways of the Jedi. If we were to be recognized as a religion, who would be recognized? All of the Jedi or only the ones following the path of the Jedi Church or who ever is leading this struggle with the U.N.? I look at Christianity and how it was the first couple of centuries as compared to it after Emperor Constantine where the Bible was put together and the religion was forced by law. All other forms of Christianity became heretic and Catholicism ruled as far as the Roman Empire ruled. By the time People tried to fix this situation it was too late and they did not have the archaeological know how to accomplish their noble struggle of rediscovering original Christianity. I wonder if the Jedi are at some kind of similar risk.

One note: no ammount of archaeological know how could ever create the true church of Jesus Christ-- only a church built upon apostles who actually and literally communicate with Him in the two-way fashion of the origional church could ever be the true church.

Good point. I was thinking about even passed that. There were no Church's back then. Mass were more like meetings in People's homes and usually organized by women. Christianity was very steeped in family values and resistance to the Empire. These were the descendants of the Hebrew desert dagger terrorists who used to assassinate Roman rulers in public settings fighting for the native lands. This Judaic movement was very anti-government and anti-taxes. They were a serious threat to the Empire because they truly believed in the one king. Constantine took away this aspect of Christianity by destroying and recreating the Christian movement and renaming the Roman holidays, kinda like what Rupert Murdoch did to Hip Hop or what the British and the U.S did to the Jewish folk re-creating their state for them leaving them in a living hell from the beginning with no end in sight. Those Biblical archaeologists are learning a great deal of Judaic history ... and its connection to the People. Much of this knowledge was not known when Martin Luther began his movement against the Roman Catholic Church, and they only got so far and couldn't get passed their European post-Roman sexist thinking or to even find out what exactly were the original Christians reading. The only Church I would ever join would have to be lead by a woman. They keep things very real in my experience. Of course you got some phonies out there like Hillary. But you do have your leaders of the Rebel Alliance out there like Cynthia McKinney. But yeah, the Apostles and their connection to the Force is gone ... but it may very well have been that this was passed down until Constantine crushed it. But that's speculation - it might still be out there. Talking about the Force, we are all connected, as I was raised Catholic but I was still able to get in touch with Jesus on many occasions from child hood all the way to war zones. I stopped being Catholic when I began to open the Bible and read it, lol. Now I read gnostic scriptures, the bible, the dead sea scrolls and every thing the Catholic Church or Protestants don't not want me to read. Who needs a middle man anyways. Man are we off topic!
