The only reason I make the proposition below is to help seperate the weak from the strong. Surely you great sith can and will approve of most if not all of what I say.
Firstly let's look at what makes a sith. Now At this point most of you have said, the use of the dark side is what makes a sith. This consept is flawed because anyone and their mother can learn to use the dark side of the force. A sith is one who pays adherence to the code, in conjunction but not revolving around acknowledgement of the force. The code sets us apart from the average dark side dabbler. It is the different interpretations of the code that set individual sith apart initially. Most people go to the part where they gain power and stop and say "this is truely the purpose of the sith, I want this power." Others may view it from a different perspective but it is this fundemental understanding of the code that sets apart a master from an apprentice. There are those out there not mentioning names who have not used the force to move things with your mind and still can claim to be masters and there is no real way to test the validity of their power. One can only judge another as being worthy of mastery through their philosophical understanding of the code and the darkside.
other than that I've even heard so called masters who still don't know how to do rudimentery sithist tricks. The thing is that even masters sometimes need to explore and learn to discover these things and this process takes years. I for one would like to propose the rule of real world mastery, which will benefit those who are apprentices by testing their fundamental understanding of the force. It would require the other masters to help devise the basic, middle and upper level tests and futher more I would hate to try to undercut you great sith by going behind your backs to implement such a rule. This makes it simpiler for masters because they can set the standard for their apprentice and when the apprentice reaches that goal of either basic, middle or upper level of understanding then they can finally be accepted into our order. Of course the only problem is what kind of questions should be on the tests and should the current masters have to take it as well. It would test the apprentice on philosophy, meditation, maybe combat but that one is if-ish, and real world application.
