I remember finding the Force Academy when I was about fourteen years old. I was a die-hard Star Wars fan. I used to have the serial number of the Milennium Falcon's hyperdrive memorized, just so I could prove I was the biggest geek to walk the earth. They talked about breathing exercises, which I learned to do for all the wrong reasons--so I could demonstrate my "Jedi Breathing" and astound my friends. Needless to say I didn't stay active there for long--it was all way above my head, and far too confusing for a kid that was just discovering high school.
Seven years later and I feel totally lost. Twenty one years old, not as much of a Star Wars fan in the same sense as before. I already had a religion of sorts. I still believe in it, totally and wholly. It's going to be a loooong essay if I ever decide to try to explain it, but suffice it to say it's not as simple as the "Pick one..." tick boxes of our world. It's compatable with the idea of the Force, though. And I thought about the few things I -did- take from the FA, and went looking for it. The site's experiencing difficulties, so I went looking for other places to learn and wound up here.

You are reminding me of me when I was 14 and saw the very first film. Immediately, I liked the idea of the Force. Then, there were no practicing Siths or Jedis. It was not until years later I came into contact with Force followers on the net. I ended up in the Sith camp. All this is a long story, and I actually have not yet told it here.

You should tell it. I would be honoured to hear such a tale.
