Dooku believed in threats and assests I believe considering no one really except his Master Sidious as a friend. Here is my question, since most people have the nasty habit of manipulating individuals and groups for their own needs does that mean in this world do we need friends to get to the top or do we just use people as assest until we reach our goals and then after that discard them like yesterday's newspaper?

What a difference a year makes, I cant believe how dark I was. Nevertheless you were right Jedisin808 you will always need friends, not to get you to the top, but to pick you up when you hit the bottom.

This is an interesting question. Usually in history you would have to have a trusted circle of friends and some that are just manipulated to get to the top. In America today it seems that you coldly manipulate people having No friends to get to the top. Yesterday you only had to manipulate some and only throw them away like toilet paper if they are dangerous to you. Now you are constantly using people and dumping them to stay on top. America has gotten to be a very heartless cold place hence the harder ball one has to play.
In order to do what is stated and have TRUE friends that help you when you are down MANY things will have to change in America. Attitudes will have to change drastically. I have heard many talk shows about Americans that have many friends only to find out when the chips are down All these "So-Called" friends evaporate into thin air. This is a reptilian society of every man/ woman for himself/ herself. The alienation is so bad that no one can trust another person any further than one can throw them. Just my two cents.
