I think it is almost funny or perhaps ironic that people are talking about the fact that there "aren't enough masters for every apprentice" while at the same time forgetting that while on the internet, everyone who is a master can be a master to all who wish to learn. I'm not necessarily refering to people simply reading the forum, because the forum doesn't provide a direct link to people who can directly answer people's questions. Why can one master not simply teach many apprectices until those apprentices become masters. It's like a temporary bandaid to the issue of not having many masters. All that we really need is two volunteer masters from each side who know what they're talking about to individually lecture so as to personally deal with each student's problems as they come along. For instance, my aprentice asks questions in such volume so that if he were to do the same or reveal his personal thoughts in the same way on the forum itself then certainly it would be considered to be anoying and or somewhat foolish. I'll wager that if you take one person who regularly poses questions on the forum itself and then give them a master, they will ask a volume of questions far greater than the total sum of their questions posted. I would suggest people who I believe to be educated in philosophy and spirituality etc... but I have the feeling that those who I suggest will reveal that they have neither the time nor the patience for all who volunteer themselves as apprentices. Therefore I urge that Jedi and Sith Volunteer themselves as teachers. If not then I at least will volunteer that if no other sith will step forward to be a teacher to many apprentices then I will start to take on more apprentices myself. However, please know that I do not have an orthodox view of the force. This is not just another responsibility, this is a chance to share your own understanding with others in a meaningful way outside of the mere occasional obscure lecture.

sciwiz12 I at one time posted many lectures and was consistent at adding information but I discovered that consistency did not make people appreciate the hard work and effort put out. So I stopped doing the consistent lectures for just responding to questions as they arise. Everyone here tries his or her best to answer questions when they come. This board is not like the other boards with formalized Master/Apprentice systems. This does not mean that one can not learn here. It is just done differently. Here we have Jedi Guides and Sith Guides which answer what they can. It is less formal so even if someone is new they can add their two cents. In essence all are Masters and all are Apprentices. Every one here has knowledge where others may not. All is encouraged to join in and say what they know about. All is encouraged to ask questions. For example what if you know more about a certain practice than I. It would be rather dumb of me to play expert if by asking you to answer the correct answer is given. The same is true vice versa. I may know something that you do not so then I tell. So it is a give take situation here. I hope that this explains this board enough to clarify things.

Oh, sorry, I posted this ages ago, but after having to deal with my second apprentice after darth marrick I realized that apprentices demand much attention. It isn't that he really provided new information, but people can be slow to learn, especially without direct instruction. I think I will move my focus towards those in my area as opposed to those who must send and recieve messages which do not allow for direct questioning and the more personal touch of a face to face session. At any rate, I will still provide what I can, but I no longer believe that I will be of much service to all those who seek direct instruction.

sciwiz12 Local approach is a good idea. It is always best to be face to face when instructing someone. On line is a back up system for those of us who have no one in their local to have a discipleship relationship. This is a communication device much like the old "pen pal" system of the 1970's. It allows people to discuss things and learn from one another in a relaxed loose environment. Good luck with your thing off line. I hope that you will still stop by and add your two cents once and a while.
