I've recently been working on trying to describe fully for myself what I experience when working with energy, and then defining it in a way that everyone would know what I was saying. Part of it is visualization, that's true enough, but then I thought more about it and came up with the term aspect magnification to describe some uses of the force. This may or may not help you.
1: first get into whatever state of mind works best for you in meditation, if you are reading this then you should probably have a way to meditate hopefully.
2: put your hands out infront of your chest, palms facing one another. Look at the space between your hands DON'T focus on visualizing anything there, just look at that space and how large it is.
3: allow your mind to focus on how great the space inbetween your hands is and how that air feels against your palms. I believe that process is called biofeedback, anyway, that's beside the point.
that's the meditation itself for practice but going further try this instead of focusing on the space between your hands, focus on the warmth between your hands. Feel that warmth allowing your mind to center on the concept of how warm it feels, how bright it is, etc... Next try how cold it is, how small the distance is, how healthy you feel, how strong you are, how happy or sad you feel. the concept works generally the same for everything, if your mind can center it's thoughts on a perception it will magnify that perception, and as we all know, that which you hold in your mind will be that which you hold in your hand through the force or whatever you believe such power to be sourced from.
