im relatively new to the whole jediism/sith/force using/whatever ya want to call it community. i have read alot and learned alot, and read pretty much every post in this darn forum, along with every other sith post i could find, but google can only go so far. i am left incredibly unsatisfied. like I said, i have learned alot here, but still not much overall and i feel (or at least want to feel) like i am only scratching the surface. I am definitely on the sith side, so is there a website/forum that is actually active (moreso than this one) that has some descent sith training/teachings? I know we are the minority here, but damn, i couldn't even find a jedi website with descent teachings that are easily accessible. come on, people!

Well, in terms of sith philosophy, which is probably not what you're looking for, it varies all over the place, but you could find that almost anywhere. If you are talking about discovering more powers, and ways to manipulate energy, rather than looking into sith specific teachings which will be rather limited due to the number of people willing to follow any religion or sect based on a movie, try looking at psionics forums, which tend to have a lot of members, as well as a lot of information about powers.

Well actually, i am talking about the philosophy side, along with meditation and force theory and such, not the religion per se. I don't exactly buy in to force powers and all that jazz. I guess I am looking more for knowledge rather than skills. I'm not a giant SW fan, but the philosophy intrigues me.

Aye, there's the rub, the philosophy is really almost what you make of it, that is, you can read the code, and any literature on the subject, but the interpretations clash every once in a while. At the end of the day you might say that a lot of that is anyone's guess. Someone can tell you that the force is a great field of vibrating energy or what have you, but pragmatically it does you no good if they're wrong. Some teach that anger is the philosophy of the sith, others promote different interpretations of passion, taking other ideas into account, it's hard to clearly define what the sith believe. Any coherent sentence made about sith beliefs might be contradicted by a number of other sith. Meditations vary too, but that just benefits you, and you can find those outside of the sith boards and forums as well, such as merkaba, etc...

If you want something based more on reality than the Star Wars lore, read about the life and inventions of Nikola Tesla. He was a real person, and he actually tapped into the Force. He had a lot of energy and vitality as a result, more than most people. As to whether he was a "Jedi" or a "Sith," I'd call him a little of both. He is, of course, known for invention, but he did have methods of personal power and energy.
