Hello, my name is Darth Viridis.
I just joined and am looking to find others with similar intertestes as mine. I espouse a, ahem, perhaps "heretical" form of Sithism that actually tries to combine parts of Jediism and Sithism. I see each philosophy as having inherent weak areas, that a synthesis of Jediism and Sithism would perhaps change.
In particular, I see the Rule of Two and the Rule of One as requiring to be rectified by unifing them. In other words, I would apply the One Sith idea to form a Sith Council, but apply the One Sith idea to make it mandatory that only ONE Sith Master can have one Sith Apprentice at a time.
I also would use Jedi teaching for the young (kids), and then when they grew into wisdom and self control, introduce the ideas of Sithism. In other words, since you must *know* a trule be3fore you can break it, it seems to me that by strting instructions with the young by using ideas of Jediism, it would give a firm foundation. We know that children are allready given to outburst of passion, and it would surely be unwise to teach the pprinciples of Sithism befoire their minds have matures so they can wisely use the Force. I would compare it to giving an assault riflew to a five year old; do you really expect them not to use it in an immature and foolish manner?
I also subscribe to the Potentium philosophy as well as the Living Force philosophy. In other words, in the world of human affairs there IS right and wrong, but in ultimate truth, The Force is beyond Light and Dark! I also believe, as the living Force philosophy taught by Yoda said, the Force is an energy created by living creatures.
I think the Jedi and the Sith are shortsighted. The Jedi are shortsighted because they act as if they can live in the world in a vacuum. Who dosen;t have strong emotions? Everyone. Is it wrong to use negative emotiuons for strength? I think it is right that the Jedi actually FEED the Dark Side by their FEAR of it, and by extension the emotions that they feel will lead them to it. The Sith are wrong because they honestly think that they can not be contaminated by over indulgence in passionate emotions. How is that possible? Dosen;t the idea of "Might is Rigyht" overthrow their attempt to bring order in the universe? Sithisim is self defeating when they do not lay down a strong ethic system that will seek to REGULATE their Apprentices actions. If you teach someone might is right from their youth, don't be suprised if they become a gangster and act like a thug in later life.
Like I said, both ideologies are limiting..
