Note: The following is a fictional work which I feel has some interesting points. However, I'm not saying I am in full agreement with all the ideas expressed.
the Philosophy of Yaroth Sharoph of Korriban
Being the Path from Slavery to Subjugation
existence
Be not like the beasts of the field, limiting the exercise
of one's power to the grass of the field or the fruit of
the tree. Do not the lowest of men take the nerf, and
cut its throat for nourishment? Thus must you affirm
your own existence through the death of your enemies.
The right and privilege and the law of life is existence.
Nothing is so plain, and jealously guarded, as its continuation; it is written within the
very coding that knits all flesh.
How do the creatures of the universe move upon the ladder of life? Self-assertion
and self-defense, conquest and Will.
Strive to be aware of the simple fact of your existence every waking moment. Thus
your own flesh moves at your command.
Doing all in one's power to insure one's own continued existence; this is the first
duty of all living creatures.
Those that cannot fulfill this duty do not deserve life.
No amount of compassion assures our survival; therefore keep your center within,
not without.
Whatever methods and means are chosen are justified; whoever you cut down,
whatever you destroy, all are secondary to the law of life.
Life feeds on life; therefore question not your role when taking a life to insure your
own.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
indulgence
To triumph, one takes existence by the tail.
Indulgence.
To avoid the joys and pains existence offers is to deny
existence. Those who deny their existence, lose it.
To be invincible, first practice indulgence.
The child understands the joys of existence.
The adult understands the pains of existence.
Embracing joy is easily mastered. Embracing pain is difficult to master.
The world sees this and fails to comprehend. Misunderstanding, they are easily
conquered. This is to our advantage.
Beginning with pleasure is the natural course. Like water finding its own level, our
senses turn toward that which enlivens. Just as water deserts the rocks of the high
places, that which causes pain is shunned by the ordinary man.
One must strive to become extraordinary.
Pain and pleasure are two sides of a coin. No other currency compares for the
warrior who wishes to conquer all his enemies.
Do the senses feel shock? Do the limbs feel fire? Do the teeth grind, and the eyes
retreat? Harness and embrace this! Take one's pleasure from pain as one would
take pleasure from a mate, and you have surely defeated your enemy long before
meeting him on the battlefield.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ruthlessness
Life consists of battles. Consuming, the body itself is also
consumed. Ruthlessness.
Exercise ruthlessness in battle against your enemies, inner and outer.
If you want something, take it. Waste no time on those who cry foul. Others will try to
get there before you, impede and hinder you; they will destroy you to remove you from
the competition. They must be defeated and cast aside.
Likewise, your inner enemies must be given no quarter, no room to thrive and grow. These
enemies will likewise try to hinder you from achieving your goal. Desire for approval, need
for comfort, compassion for those who should be destroyed; these enemies are deadly.
Defeat them and cast them aside, no matter how familiar their voices.
Indulge your sense of triumph only when they are underfoot.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
knowledge
True power is acquired in the world. It is married to experience as wetness is to water.
Through indulgence and ruthlessness, the warrior grasps truth as an adamantine fist.
Knowledge.
The successful General enters the enemy's domain to see what is being planned by the
enemy. The bo-kan warrior enters the enemy's mind to seek out the enemy's weaknesses.
True knowledge provides the means to defeat the enemy without ever lifting a sabre. The
heart, the body, and the mind are easy battlefields when the territory is known. This is
the way of bo-kan : without weapons, through knowledge.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
vengeance
Keep your own wounds green, which otherwise would heal. Let not thine own pain
be comforted, for vengeance belongeth to pain.
(Kar Hardoth)
As it says in the histories of the Sith, we have lost all, not once but many times, and always
to a moment of weakness. The enemy has struck without fear of vengeance, thinking to
destroy us utterly and forever; the enemy does not hesitate to remind his own of this fact.
Be like-minded. Life being what it is, you should dream of revenge.
The disposition to endure injury with meek forbearance while maturing a plan of revenge is the surest guarantee of success.
All that has befallen thee, all that came before, the very thought of what might be, which lies in the
mind of your enemy, all of these keep close. Forget not as you pass quietly by your enemy's tents
in the dark, remember it well as you wait for the right moment in which to strike. Whether waiting
for the enemy's heartbeat to become ragged in battle, or for years to pass until he least suspects you
will raise your hand against him, keep your pain next to you.
This is the path of Vengeance.
Maim rather than wound, kill rather than maim; best of all, destroy rather than kill.
Forget not the long arm of generations to come. Is it not the long arm that has oppressed you? Therefore,
when giving one's opponent injury, make it so severe his vengeance need not be feared.
