Thought I'd save you th trouble of reposting my introduction. I am and have been a Dark side practitioner for a number of years. I started my "journey" of the Force as a Jedi but began to take interest in the dark side and decided to try the path of the grey Jedi, shortly after I came to a point where I learned the ways of the Shadow Jedi. Finally I became a Sith and have been a Sith for the greatest length of time compared to the other paths I tried.

Well, from my past experience a Grey Jedi is a Jedi who walks a fine line between "Dark" or "Light", or uses both the "dark" and the "light" in a "balanced" way. The time I spent trying to do this was insignificant though, as I spent very little time trying to walk such an absurd path. Shadow Jedi believe that the Force is a nuetral energy, and that there is no "dark" or "light" whatsoever, how the Force is viewed and/or used would theoratically be based on a persons perceptions and intentions. I personally came to two conclusions about those paths, the Grey Jedi ways are built upon a duality that is nothing more than a concept to help our minds comprehend the Force, and the ways of the Shadow Jedi are far to unstructured for my tastes. All in all, being a Sith suits me best.

Yes, I Don't Believe Either Could Work For Me, Either... Especially The Path Of The Grey Jedi. As I Believe It Impossible To Balance Something As Tumultuously Unstable As The Force

Ah, but is the force truly unstable? Or is it the instability within yourself that is hard to control, or fear that you cannot? Yet I digress, I agree that the notion of a Gray Jedi is a bit ubsurd, though i dont believe jedi or sith is the only path..in fact I believe they are actually a bit narrow in vision of something as grand and vast as the force.

As I Believe It Impossible To Balance Something As Tumultuously Unstable As The Force First of all balance is the most usefull and strong posistion to be in. Nature always tries to keep itself in balance. Out of balance than all life dies. Everyone forgot Episode III. Palpatine told Anakin that the Sith do in fact use both sides of the Force in balance from a larger view. In physics the four forces that make up our universe are so perfectly balanced to change any one by just a few decimal points will mean the end of our universe. The four forces are Electromagnatism, The Strong Force, The Weak Force and Gravity. In short a Sith can be in balance since Palpatine sure was a balanced Sith. Dark Lord of the Gith, I like your very cute kitty. Is that your kitten or got off the net?

I myself am Grey Jedi in philosophy and typically Light Jedi in practice. Or something. ~Alena

Everyone forgot Episode III. Palpatine told Anakin that the Sith do in fact use both sides of the Force in balance from a larger view.
People use this quote from Palpatine alot. However, not only was Palpatine famous for spreading lies and deception, he was also trying to convert a Jedi to his own cause, the Sith. So it would indicate that just because he said things he could be possibly, more than possibly lying.
Treachery is the way of he Sith....-Darth Tyranus-
Also, for all his talk about using both aspects of the force, he was never known for using so called light-side techniques, also it was stated more than once that since he had delved so deeply into the dark side it was degenerating his body(even his clone bodies) Does this sound like someone in balance with the force? And toward the end of his reign he was so out of balance that even his gifts of foresight and strategy had given way to overconfidence in his own abilities, clouding his judgement.
In episode 6 he said to Vader that things were going exactly how he had forseen it. Im pretty sure in whatever he had forseen, he was alive at the end of it...we know how that turned out.
I do agree with the physics, and balance being the most useful position to be in. When I saw that show on discovery about how if earths tempeture changed 3 degrees either way then it be...very bad for earth.
