Hello, I am new here. In fact, this is my first post. I am so glad that I happened to find this forum. It seems that people who can seriously entertain such notions as, "the force," and especially any sort of, "dark side," are so few and far between that the chance of finding another are almost zero. Being the first to admit my lack of mastery over the force, having nowhere to go for guidance can make advancement along the dark path difficult and slow-going.
I think my question belongs in this sub-forum but it could possibly be more appropriate in Sith Philosophy. If so, forgive me. Anyway, on to the question...
As we are all aware, the essence of Sithhood lies in using ones emotions as a source of power. Even though it has been said that all Sith come to the dark side because of love, it is apparent that the, "darker emotions," are of more utility. Obviously, anger has the most obvious and widespread usability, with fear being a not-so-distant second. But I am left wondering: what about lust?
Lust certainly seems to fit the bill. It doesn't take a very impressive midichlorian count to understand the immense levels of passion that can drive feelings of lust. Furthermore, lust is not only just as results-oriented as anger (if not more so), but it is also fundamentally selfish.
It would seem to me that lust is a prime candidate for being a source of power. But, alas, I have absolutely no idea where to begin or what direction to go in. So, Masters of the Dark Side, be so kind as to share with me your wisdom!
